Air France is a subsidiary of the Air France-KLM Group. Prior to its merger with KLM, in 2004, the company was France’s flagship national airline. Today, Air France operates the most flights in France.

The headquarters of Air France is located near Paris and its base airports are: Orly and Charles de Gaulle. The company also has hub airports in Lyon, Nice, and Marseille. From all airports, the airline operates flights both within the country and abroad.

Air France, in cooperation with KLM, flies to most of the world’s countries. In terms of the number of flights, the airline is comparable to Germany’s Lufthansa and is also listed in the top 10 airlines in the world in terms of the number of passengers served.

Air France was the first airline in Europe to operate the Airbus A380, a double-decker giant capable of carrying 538 passengers over long distances. Today, the airline is one of the largest operators of these aircrafts.
